About
The China Training Network exists to promote the growth of the Christian Church by training leaders and partnering with Chinese believers to plant churches.
Mission Statement
In 2002 Robert and Joanne Menzies established the China Training Network (CTN), a missions organization dedicated to the training of pastors and evangelists in China. We have a seven-member board comprised of church leaders from various parts of the U.S. and different denominational groups (although most of our board members are associated with the Assemblies of God and all are evangelical and Pentecostal). Robert and Joanne are accountable to this board.
Robert is ordained with the Australia Christian Churches (the Australian AG). The China Training Network is also recognized by the Southern California District (the SoCal Network) of the U.S. Assemblies of God as a “District Approved Ministry.”
ROBERT AND JOANNE MENZIES
Robert Menzies completed his Ph.D. studies (New Testament) at the University of Aberdeen, Scotland under the supervision of I. Howard Marshall in 1989. He has authored numerous books on the work of the Spirit, including Spirit and Power: Foundations of PentecostalExperience (Zondervan, 2000), which he co-authored with his father, and Pentecost: This Story is Our Story (GPH, 2016). Dr. Menzies has taught at Bible schools and seminaries in the Philippines, Australia, Fiji, Indonesia, Malaysia, Japan, Russia, Holland, Korea, and the United States. Dr. Menzies’ writings on the work of the Holy Spirit in the New Testament have served as a catalyst for fresh thinking in this area. Dr. Menzies is currently the Director of the Asian Center for Pentecostal Theology, which is based in Hong Kong.
